    BFA provides advisory services in all areas of corporate business law, preparing documents and corporate structures for the incorporation of companies in the country as well as for the development of their business, having a technical team to perform audits and conduct the negotiation when required.

    It offers legal regulatory consultancy services to clients from different sectors, with special emphasis on the technology, media and telecommunications industry, in a wide range of processes of commercial operations that goes from simple and daily funding to more complex ventures. It works as a team in all stages: funding for startups; negotiation of mergers, joint ventures and acquisitions, and structuring of partnerships.

    In the contractual area, the firm has also experience in structuring and negotiating agreements, from the simpler to the more complex agreements, including service, software manufacture, partnership and content agreements, among many others.

    The experience of the firm includes the process of structuring of business models, definition of the applicable service, the granting process, participation in bidding procedures organized by the regulatory Agency, interaction with the Agency to obtain approval for technical and/or corporate demands, as well as consulting services for the defense in administrative proceedings before the regulatory body.

  • Entertainment Law

    BFA advises its clients regarding legal issues for audiovisual productions, at any stage, including the negotiation of agreements regarding national and international co-production, association, distribution, acquisition, and assignment and licensing of rights regarding scripts and formats, as well as agreements necessary for the effective execution of the audiovisual work, service agreements of the artistic and technical team, and any other instruments aiming at making the work production possible. It provides legal counselling for scriptwriters, authors, directors and actors participating in audiovisual works, as well as musicians, advising on contractual negotiations and collection of copyrights and related rights. It further provides legal advisory services regarding registration of the production company and the audiovisual work with ANCINE, as well as submission of the project and public its accounting to the Agency for obtaining authorization to use funds via tax incentives and the Audiovisual Sector Fund.

Law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo – PUC in 1997, Graduate Diploma in Corporate and Economic Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas of São Paulo, and Master in Law from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London.
Founding partner of the law firm BFA, former president and former director of the telecommunications and media, audiovisual and Internet commissions of Associação Brasileira de Direito da Tecnologia da Informação e das Comunicações [Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology] – ABDTIC, currently part of the consulting board and active director of that association. She is the author of the book Regulation of Audiovisual Media in Convergent Environment: The Case of Audiovisual Content via the Internet, and has published several articles on regulation in the audiovisual and telecommunications sectors.
